ALICE HART-DAV IS

Alice Hart-Davis is an award-winning beauty journalist who writes for publications including Observer Woman, the Daily Telegraph, the Mail on Sunday’s YOU magazine, the Evening Standard and Red magazine.

Alice spends her time with the experts of the beauty field, learning what’s new from hairdressers and make-up artists, cosmetic surgeons and research scientists. In the interests of research, she has tried everything from beauty-acupuncture to radio-frequency skin-tightening treatments. She knows that while beauty is more than skin deep, we also live in a fickle society which judges people on their looks, so you might as well try to look your best.

Alice lives in London with her husband and three children, has a bit of a false-eyelash habit and is still looking for the perfect face cream.

MOLLY HINDHAUGH

Molly Hindhaugh is Alice’s daughter. She is 14 and has been interested in
make-up and skincare for slightly longer than her mother thinks is appropriate.
For Molly, the essence of looking good is to look like yourself, but just that little
bit better.

Molly loves sleepovers, going shopping with her friends, reading, acting
classes and listening to music.

She goes to a school in London that takes a liberal view of wearing make-up,
which allows her plenty of room for experimenting with eyeliner.
